A cloudy morning for Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England with outbreaks of rain, this clearing in the afternoon with some brightness developing. Elsewhere the day will be mostly dry with some sunny spells, the best of these over southern England. Expect a few showers to develop through the afternoon. Top temperatures at 14-15C over north and west, but 16-17C elsewhere.

Friday Night
Any remaining showers will clear through the evening with dry conditions following for most areas. Thick cloud will edge over southwestern Ireland overnight along some light rain and freshening winds. Minimum temperatures at 7-9C over most parts.

Saturday
Increasingly cloudy and windy over Ireland with a band of heavy rain spreading east, reaching Wales, northern England, southwest England and southwestern Scotland later in the afternoon however becoming more light and patchy as it moves further northeast. The driest conditions are expected over southeast England and Eastern Scotland. Showers will follow on the back of the rain. Maximum temperatures at 12-14C over north and west, but up to 18C over southeast England.

Sunday
A cloudy morning over the east but soon bright conditions for all with sunny spells. Through the afternoon showers will develop mostly over land, some of them heavy and possibly thundery. Most showers will die away in the evening, with a few remaining over Northern Ireland. Tops of 15-16C over most parts, but 18-19C for southeast England.
