Morning Call - March 09, 2018
Chilly
Sunshine and Showers

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 9th March 2018
Duty forecaster: Matthew Hugo

Chilly, especially in the north but mainly dry for many ahead of wet and windy weather from the south-west later

Good morning,

It's a chilly start to Friday, especially across more central and northern areas with some frost and icy patches. It will, however, be a mainly dry morning for most with some bright or sunny spells and just a few showers in the north and west.

Through the afternoon and some showers will continue across Scotland and Ireland, but with much of England and Wales having plenty of fine weather with some bright or sunny spells, but it will eventually becoming increasingly wet and windy across Devon and Cornwall as the afternoon progresses.

Into Friday evening and overnight and wet and windy weather across south-west England and Wales will steadily move northwards across much of England and Wales and this coinciding with a rise in temperatures too. Ahead of this, across Scotland, it will be drier, clearer and colder for most of Friday evening and night.
