Morning Call - February 05, 2018
Cold and Wintry
Mainly Dry

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 5th February 2018
Duty forecaster: Matthew Hugo

Cold or very cold but with a lot of dry weather

Good morning,

It's a cold and frosty start with some icy patches too but is mainly dry with some bright or sunny spells. Snow flurries across E and SE England from the overnight period continue mind in places with local slight accumulations across Kent, for example.

Through the afternoon and not a lot of change is expected. Much of the country will remain dry with some bright or sunny spells but with a continued risk of some snow flurries across E and SE England, while sleet and snow will eventually move into Scotland and Ireland by the end of the afternoon and into the evening.

Cold or very cold for all on Monday night with a widespread harsh frost and icy patches. Sleet and snow will bring some accumulations across Scotland and Ireland and by the end of the night move down into N England with a possible snowy start to Tuesday here.

Matthew
