Morning Call - February 04, 2018
Cold or Very Cold
Mainly Dry

Issued: 0530hrs Sunday 4th February 2018
Duty forecaster: Matthew Hugo

Cold or very cold but with a lot of dry weather

Good morning,

It's a cold and frosty start with some icy patches too, especially across central and northern areas, but here it is mainly dry with some sunshine. Cloudier in the south and east with a few snow flurries and very cold given a light or moderate NE'ly breeze here as well.

Through the afternoon and not a lot of change is expected. Many central, northern and western areas of the British Isles will be dry with plenty of winter sunshine but it will be cold and frost will soon develop from the middle of the afternoon onwards with temperatures soon nearing freezing. A cold or very cold NE'ly wind will persist across SE England with further snow flurries here, perhaps local accumulations.

Snow flurries continue across SE England on Sunday night but emphasis is on much of the country having a dry, clear and very cold night with a harsh frost and local icy patches.

Matthew
