Morning Call - January 19, 2018
Cold, western showers
Drier in the east

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 19th January 2018
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Wintry showers to the west, drier to the east and cold too

Good morning,

Another cold morning for the UK and Ireland. It is going to be windy as well, especially in the west. There will be showers, heavy at times in more northern and western areas. The showers falling as sleet and snow on hills.

Don't expect much change into this afternoon. Further showers affecting western areas, although these tending to become more scattered into the evening. Brighter and drier in the east and south with some sunny spells.

Overnight showers continue to the north, although drier in the south with some clearer skies, but rain moving into Ireland.
