Morning Call - January 12, 2018
Mainly Dry
Mostly Cloudy

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 12th January 2018
Duty forecaster: Matthew Hugo

Mainly dry and rather benign weather conditions are set to continue.

Good morning,

A chilly start to the day in places with a slight frost, along with some mist and fog patches too. Through the morning many areas will maintain mainly dry weather with some brighter intervals, but equally a lot of cloud is to be expected as well.

Through the afternoon and not a great deal of change is expected with many areas of the British Isles maintaining dry weather with some bright or sunny intervals, but also with quite a lot of cloud in places too, especially across more central and eastern areas of England and Scotland. Wetter and windier weather will develop across Ireland by the end of the afternoon.

Wet and windy weather across Ireland is expected to move into W Scotland and W Wales, along with SW England into the overnight period but make little progress further east. As a result, much of England and central and eastern areas of Scotland will have another dry night on Friday night with clear spells, variable cloud and some mist and fog patches too.

Matthew
