SE Snow flurries
Rain in far west

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 7th February 2018
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Another cold day with snow flurries in the southeast, rain in western Scotland and Ireland

Good morning,

You will need to be wrapped up warm again today as the cold weather affects all parts of the UK and Ireland again. There will be some snow flurries in East Anglia and southeast England this morning, although these tending to be fading away. More persistent rain will be arriving in western Scotland and western Ireland with the winds increasing here. Elsewhere it should be dry with some sunny spells.

There will be little change into his afternoon, although western Scotland and western Ireland will experience an increasing breeze with the rain turning more persistent. Dry for most with cloud breaking and some sunny spells.

Overnight cloud and rain affects much of Scotland and Ireland, light rain reaching northwest England and western Wales too.
