Windy, rain in west
Cold east, warm west

Windy for all, rain edging east

Good morning,

Don't let the morning sunshine, if you have it, fool you this morning. If you are in the west of the UK you will already know the sunshine is soon going to disappear as you are already in cloud and it's getting windy too. If you are in Ireland then you will know that cloud is bringing rain too!

The cloud and rain will be edging eastwards through the course of today, turning to snow over the Pennines and hills of Scotland. More eastern and southern areas of England will become increasingly windy but should stay largely dry. There will be some patchy rain getting into the west through the afternoon and into the evening.

Briefly turning milder to the west too, although still feeling cold in the east.
