Cold and showery weather is expected across W Scotland and Ireland, the showers wintry here and very windy in the west too. Highs 2C to 6C.

Patchy rain, sleet and snow slowly easing with clear spells developing, especially across more northern and western areas with a fairly widespread frost and icy patches expected. Lows -2C to 1C.

 
 
 


Sunday
Cold start with frost and icy patches possible. Some wintry flurries possible across parts of east and south-east England, especially during the morning, but otherwise emphasis is on a lot of dry weather developing through the day with some sunny spells. Highs 1C to 4C.
 


Monday
A cold start with frost and icy patches again possible. Mainly dry through most of the morning across England and Wales with some sunshine, but with then rain, sleet and snow developing across Scotland and Ireland before moving south and east through the day. Highs 1C to 4C.
