Risk of a local shower inland for Devon and Cornwall. For Scotland, patchy rain in the north in the morning, then showery rain forming mainly for eastern areas by afternoon, drier in western Scotland. Mainly dry for Northern Ireland with variable cloud. Light northwesterly breezes. Highs 15 to 21C.

Monday night
Remnants of showers in the north will fade into the evening. Local patchy rain continues to affect the north of Scotland overnight with cloud skies here. A northerly breeze for Scotland and Ireland. Variable cloud tending to break up across England and Wales. Some mist patches forming up to dawn. Light winds for many. Some high cloud in the south of England keeping it mild around 12C. Cooler for the Midlands and Wales northwards, lows 7 to 10C.

Tuesday
Likely to stay fine for central England and Wales. The southwest also dry, but a risk of rain in the far southeast as a front moves east across the English Channel. A veil of high cloud may extend into the Home Counties. Showery rain for northern Scotland in the morning. Showers then forming into afternoon for central & southern Scotland and northern England, risk localised thundery bursts moving south into northwest England later. Light variable winds. Highs 16 to 22C.

Wednesday
A ridge of high pressure influences the British Isles. Fair weather for many with broken cloud and good sunny spells. Cloudier in the far south with a chance of some rain near English Channel coasts with an easterly breeze. Cloudy with rain too in northwest Scotland as fronts pass to the north, fresh southwesterly breezes here. Only isolated light showers elsewhere, light winds for many places. Highs at 19 to 23C but 14C in northwest Scotland.
