A region of high pressure extending eastwards across a large portion of N Europe will bring a lot of fine weather here, but more unsettled through the Med

Saturday
Into Saturday and it is high pressure that will be developing and building across the British Isles, into northern areas of France, Belguim, Denmark and across into more southern areas of Scandinavia too. Here a fine day of weather overall with some pleasant spells of spring sunshine and pleasantly warm. Lower pressure is, however, forecast to dominate across more southern areas of France, Switzerland and down into parts of Spain and Portugal. Equally, heavy and thundery downpours associated with low pressure are predicted across Italy and many central areas of the Med through the day. Some sunshine for more eastern and south-eastern areas of Europe but afternoon thunderstorms are likely across Turkey, Greece and surrounding countries.

Sunday
During sunday and not a great deal of change in the weather is forecast. Quite an extensive area of high pressure extending up from the Azores will dominate across much of the British Isles, more northern areas of France, into Germany, Belgium, Denmark, eastwards towards Poland and also across much of Scandinavia, with the exception of more northern areas. Lower pressure continues to remain slow moving through much of Iberia, into central areas of the Med, affecting Italy still and also eastwards towards Croatia, Serbia and Hungary for example. Very warm and humid conditions will Continue across Greece and Turkey, along with surrounding countries with some sunny spells, but afternoon downpours are likely. Much of Europe will be warm or very warm, with any cooler or colder conditions restricted to the far north of Scandinavia.
