Morning Call - December 18, 2017
A benign December day
Fog patches

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 18th December 2017
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Murky in the west, drizzly rain

Good morning,

High pressure builds across the British Isles from the south-west today. A quiet day overall. Winds mostly light. Freshening southwesterlies in the far north-west.

A weak warm front influences western regions, bringing low cloud and patchy drizzle to coasts and hills, but amounts generally small.

Dry and bright toward the east, with hazy sunshine. Some local fog patches in low-lying areas, perhaps slow to clear, and reforming again this evening.

Today's top temperatures will be just 5C in eastern areas, up to 7 or 8C in the west, up to locally 10C or above around south-western coasts.

Have a great day.
Garry
