Morning Call - January 25, 2018
Heavy showers in west
Better to east

Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 25th January 2018
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Heavy showers in the west this morning, becoming more scattered as they pass east

Good morning,

Fair across eastern, central and southern England this morning, and it's feeling a little cooler too. Some good spells of sunshine here. Cloudier skies and some showers and outbreaks of rain in the west, these passing through Ireland and reaching western Ireland as a band of rain.

The showers then feed through northern England, Wales, central and southern England through this afternoon. Mostly dry in East Anglia and southeast England. Sunshine and showers to the west, some of them heavy on the hills and wintry too.

Tonight is going to be cooler and breezy with some showers in northern England, the Midlands and Wales. Drier to the west.
