Morning Call - May 13, 2018
Rain or Showers
Rather Cool

Issued: 0530hrs Sunday 5th May 2018
Duty forecaster: Matthew Hugo

Rain for some eastern and north-eastern areas, showery elsewhere but still with some sunny spells too

Good morning,

Into Sunday morning and some rain or showers from the overnight period are present across some eastern areas of England and Scotland, but with many other areas mainly dry with some bright or sunny spells. Through the morning and the rain in the east will persist, while showery conditions develop elsewhere, especially in the south and west.

Through the afternoon and some further rain is possible across eastern areas near to the N Sea along with E Scotland especially, but this eventually clearing away by the end of the afternoon. Elsewhere and sunshine and showers continue, these heaviest in the south and west but even here the showers slowly dying away into Sunday evening.

Any rain or showers will gradually clear and then Sunday evening and overnight will be dry with prolonged clear spells and some variable cloud. Clear spells and light winds will combine to lead to a chilly night with a possible ground frost, especially rurally.
