Morning Call - May 12, 2018
Sunshine and Showers
Rather Cool

Issued: 0530hrs Saturday 5th May 2018
Duty forecaster: Matthew Hugo

A day of sunshine and showers for most areas, but these most prevelant across England, Wales and Ireland.

Good morning,

It's a fine start to Saturday across most areas with some bright or sunny spells, but with some showers across the north of Scotland and also showers soon arriving across SW England and Ireland. Through the morning and showers will develop more widely across England, Wales and Ireland, but the far north of England and Scotland maintaining quite a lot of dry and bright, if not sunny weather.

Through the afternoon and further showery conditions are forecast across England, Wales and Ireland with some local downpours possible despite drier and brighter intervals too. Scotland and the far north of England will maintain drier and sunnier conditions. Late in the afternoon a more persistent region of rain may develop across some eastern areas of England and this moving northwards.

The rain across E England may well continue northwards and reach more eastern areas of Scotland overnight on Saturday. Elsewhere clear spells and variable cloud, but still with some showers feeding in to some south-western areas of the British Isles overnight. A chilly night, especially rurally.
