Heavy showers turning wintry in the north, cold for all

Good morning,

A band of showery rain is going to be clearing England and Wales very early this morning. Drier weather arrives to the north with some sunny spells and it is going to be feeling increasingly windy and cold for all.

Scotland will be seeing heavy wintry showers, most to the north and west with fresh snow accumulations on the hills. Further showers in Ireland too. These showers spreading into northern England and through the rest of Ireland in the afternoon, staying windy as well.

Heavy snow showers and gales tonight in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Drier in England, wales and the rest of Ireland, although always an odd shower in the west.
