Claire: Just the lightest scattering of showers of southwestern Ireland and the Scilly Isles this Sunday lunchtime. We may see further isolated, light showers for western Ireland and around the Irish Sea this afternoon but, on the whole, it's continuing dry and bright.

Claire: It's a glorious start to the day and it will continue sunny, warm and dry too. Any mist or fog patches around just now should burn off quickly as temperatures rise. Staying cloudier to the far west of the UK and for Ireland.

Claire: More of the same weather on the way tomorrow for the British Isles: sunny, very warm & dry for most, cloudier to the far west and north with the chance of an isolated shower or two developing across Ireland. High temperatures into the high 20s/low 30s again.

Claire: Temperatures are rising nicely into the start of the bank holiday weekend. Highs already in the low 20s for eastern & southern Scotland and across much of England & Wales. Highs at 26C for some eastern & southern regions of England.

Claire: There's a bit of cloud around for Scotland and Ireland this morning with showery rain affecting far western parts. Clear skies and plenty of sunshine for England and Wales where any lingering mist or fog patches should quickly burn off this morning.

Claire: High temperatures peaked at 26C for many in eastern England this afternoon; 27C at Norwich. Eastern England is where we'll continue to see the highest temperatures through this bank holiday weekend with the possibility of 30C on the cards.

Claire: Rain clearing the north of Scotland and Orkney now, lingering for Shetland into the afternoon. Cloudier conditions for western areas, brighter to the east. Continuing much the same through this afternoon.

Claire: A breezy day in the northwest with winds gusting to 45mph across the Hebrides. Gusts up to 48mph for northwest Wales and to 38mph for northwest England. Much calmer for southeastern areas.

Simon: Winds increasing in Ireland and western Scotland in the coming hours as rain arrives. Some showery bits of rain in northern England this morning, these extending to Wales by late morning and afternoon.
