UK Forecast - May 19, 2018
Dry for most
Rain far west

Sunday
Morning mist patches in more sheltered areas of England and Wales early on Sunday morning. These will burn away quickly to leave many with some good spells of sunshine. Coastal areas of eastern England may see some low cloud and fog lapping onto the coasts, this burning back to see during the morning, although always a threat. Plenty of sunshine for most other areas of England and eastern Wales. Cloudier skies in Ireland and western Scotland with a few spots of drizzle in more western areas. Brighter for eastern Scotland, some brighter spells developing, although a few showers are likely on hills. Highs at 24C in central England, 12C in the cloudier parts of western Scotland and feeling cooler on coasts generally.

Sunday Night
Low cloud returns to eastern England overnight, drifting in from the North Sea. Cloud in Ireland and western Scotland brings some outbreaks of rain, light at first but turning more persistent over far western coasts as the breezes increase too. Elsewhere skies will be clearer. Lows at 4 to 8C.

Monday
A front brings some heavy bursts of rain to the far west of Ireland and Hebrides on Monday. A disturbed area of air brings the threat of some heavy, thundery but localised showers over England, Wales and Scotland on Monday afternoon. The morning should be fair and warm for many with good spells of sunshine, although low cloud may affect eastern coasts. Cloud too in eastern Ireland and eastern Scotland with brighter spells here. Highs at 14 to 18C in Ireland and Scotland, 21 to 24C in much of England.

Tuesday
A northeast flow through Tuesday brings a higher risk of some low cloud across eastern and central areas early on Tuesday morning. Best of the sunshine to the west although broken cloud in Ireland. Sunny spells developing for much of England and Wales as the cloud starts to retreat back to eastern areas, perhaps not clearing coasts all day. There is a risk of some isolated showers developing. A fresh northeast breeze. Highs at just 11C in northern Scotland, 15C on eastern coasts of England, 18C in Ireland and 23C in central and southern England.
