Mixed although sunny spells for many and low rain amounts
Overall conditions will not be too bad through the coming week. There will be sunny spells for all, but also some showers. Rain will slip east on Friday and Saturday, although showery weather then follows from the west.

Sunday 13/5/18 A trough of low pressure extending through the UK and Ireland on Sunday. This is going to allow showers to develop, some of which may group into longer spells of rain and heavier showers. The highest risk of heavy showers in western and southern areas. Highs at 12 to 16C.
Monday 14/5/18 The trough remains through the UK and Ireland on Monday. Scattered heavy showers will develop during the day, perhaps most of them in the east and over hills. Highs at 21C in southeast England, a chilly 14C in the west.
Tuesday 15/5/18 Low pressure west of Scotland on Tuesday. A weak ridge of high pressure to the south and east. Rain may affect the west of Ireland and western Scotland. Scattered showers elsewhere, but overall a dry day with sunny spells. Highs at 21C in the southeast, 14 to 16C for most.
Wednesday 16/5/18 A small area of low pressure may pass close to Scotland on Wednesday. This could bring wind and cloud with it as well as some rain. A ridge in southern England giving drier weather and bright or sunny spells. Temperatures to 12 to 18C.
Thursday 17/5/18 A ridge of high pressure building into the western UK and Ireland on Thursday. A trough to the east. There will be some showers in eastern areas, but the west should be dry with sunny spells. Highs near 12 to 19C.
Friday 18/5/18 A continued risk of some showers in eastern areas on Friday. The ridge of high pressure to the west will be bringing drier weather and some sunny spells too. Highs at 12 to 18C.
